282 Ferradosa Portugal

Hi all, A spectacular view of the River Duero valley at Ferradosa as 282 a Portuguese 4-6-0 oil burner slowly crossing the river with steam to spare working the Porto to Barca De Alva postal. We were to cross the bridge twice whilst here to reach the far side along a truly rotten wooden and very narrow boardwalk. It was a very precarious 10 minutes times 4 and a long way down to the water if you fell

Hi all, I went off to the Severn Valley Steam Gala on Friday thus the lateness of POTW, to see 71000 Duke of Gloucester beautifully restored to main line condition. The only one to be built in place of 46202 Princess Ann destroyed in the Harrow disaster in the winter of 1952.
