Hi all,
A spectacular view of the River Duero valley at Ferradosa as 282 a Portuguese 4-6-0 oil burner slowly crossing the river with steam to spare working the Porto to Barca De Alva postal. We were to cross the bridge twice whilst here to reach the far side along a truly rotten wooden and very narrow boardwalk. It was a very precarious 10 minutes times 4 and a long way down to the water if you fell through.
The valley was to be flooded eventually and the railway continue along the far bank. 8th May 1973.
Regards
Ledg.
