I made a mistake to yesterday’s picture of the Scotsman. The fireman is in fact holding the token from the previous section as the train passed through no stop at Arley, he is about to exchange with the signalman his single line token from the previous section in exchange for the next single line token on towards Highley. They will both simultaneously exchange tokens.
I have also sent the picture again I thought the one yesterday looked a bit blurred.
