Welsh Highland Railway POTW

Hi all,
Two pictures I took in 2012 whilst on holiday in north Wales, as you can see the first one is of the 11.00 train from Pothmadog at Caernarfon just arrived, and has been worked by ex South African Railways Beyer Garret NG 143. 18th June 2012.
The second one also of an ex SAR Beyer Garret NG 87 working the 11.15 Caernarfon to Porthmadog at Betws Garmon where we had rented a cottage for the week. On the night of our arrival a storm was raging the rain being torrential and as you can see the local river the Afon Gwyrfai was well up over its banks and this was as close as I could get to the railway but as it turned out looked very impressive. All the water was coming off Snowdon and the surounding hills. Eventually the storm passed over and the week’s weather was glorious! Even got up Snowdon for the umpteenth time. 16th June 2012.
Regards
Ledg.
