Rheine loco Germany

Hi all,
1975 was a bad year for going abroad, I had just bought a house that needed plenty of work on it so just one trip was made on a two dayer to northern Germany.
Unfortunately the weather was dire. Day one thick grey cloud, day two thick grey cloud and heavy rain. We had given up on the action shots and had made our way to Rheine and the depot even here you needed a tripod! To get any decent pictures.
Three engines stand on the disposal roads, 042-105 2-8-2 oil burner, by now all of this class was stationed here at Rhine and there were a good number of them. Class 050
2-10-0 052-188 although the largest class of steam engine in West Germany very few seen here. Finally the tender of 043-336 a 3 cylinder 2-10-0 most of which were
Allocated at Rheine with some at Emden. This one is having its water and oil tanks replenished before its next duty probably north on one of the many block trains bound for the docks at Emden. April 1975.
Regards Ledg.
